Our workshop is fully equipped with all the necessary specialist equipment and tooling to ensure that all mechanical repair work can be successfully undertaken to dealer-level. We have invested heavily in our diagnostic equipment and specialist tools to ensure we deliver the best service.
Attention to detail is key to keeping your car in a safe and decent mechanical condition. We can draw on years of experience and specialist knowledge of the Subaru brand to achieve this.
We will always use genuine Subaru parts or ‘tried and tested’ upgrades when repairing or replacing mechanical components.
Whatever remedial work your car requires, we can advise on the most suitable parts for the job and carry out the repair to the highest standard.
Regular routine maintenance to your vehicle will assist with ongoing reliability. Any potential future problems can be identified and corrected before they result in a failure or breakdown.
We have found that by using the highest quality fully synthetic oils and genuine oil filters, you are greatly assisting your engine and gearbox to withstand prolonged periods of hard use, with a higher degree of protection than provided by OE minimum spec lubricants. This becomes more important as you modify your engine and drivetrain for increased power and performance.
Subaru Impreza Servicing Prices

Cambelt Replacement
We recommend replacing your cambelt at 50k or 5 year intervals, which ever comes first.
Although some variants would suggest this could be left for longer during the service intervals, we would recommend a replacement at 50,000 miles.
We always replace your cambelt as a kit using a Gates or Deco belt. We also fit OEM idlers and tensioner from NTN. The kit also includes a new water pump and thermostat seal.
Replacing these ancillary parts at the same time is cost-effective and gives you peace of mind.
Modified Cars
For a standard or mildly modified road car, we would suggest following Subaru’s Service Schedule for your model year of car. Highly modified road or track cars should ideally follow a tighter service regime, using suitable lubricants.
Subaru Impreza Genuine Parts and Correct Fluids
Engine
During servicing the Subaru Impreza we only use genuine Subaru parts and oils that are recommended or exceeds the manufacturer’s specification. For example, Subaru specify a semi-synthetic engine oil but for the slight increase in cost we would always use a fully synthetic Ester-based oil.
For higher performance engines or cars that see track time we would recommend using a 10W-50 oil. In contrast a standard car can be run on 5W-40. We carry both oils specifically for Impreza servicing.
We recommend using the following engine oils: Motul 300v, Fuchs Titan and Amsoil or Valvolene and genuine Subaru Black oil filter (15208AA100)
Gearbox
We always recommend using a fully synthetic gearbox oil to keep your transmission in good condition and maintain smooth gearchanges.
DCCD equipped gearboxes require closer service interval times due to the electronic centre diff.
Differential
Regular replacement of your differential oil is important. It only holds approximately 1-litre of fluid which gets worked very hard.
Some models equipped with a plated LSD (factory or aftermarket) will require an LSD-specific oil.
This is an area that is often overlooked but it’s vital to keep the oil fresh and replaced regularly. A failure will destroy the carrier-bearings or the differential unit itself. Either of which would require an expensive rebuild. Preventative maintenance goes a long way.
Brake
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, so even if the car is parked up for extended periods of time, the brake fluid in a road car should be replaced every 2 years.
For track use, we recommend replacing the brake fluid every other trackday.
We recommend and use Motul DOT 5.1 or RBF660 brake fluid for reliable performance.
We use the following products in our own and customer cars and highly recommend:
Millers CRX and Redline Shockproof Gearbox Oils
Motul 90 PA Differential Oil
NGK Platinum and Racing series Spark Plugs
Motul RBF600 and DOT5.1, Gulf Competition Brake Fluids
Genuine Subaru Black Oil Filters
K&N and Cosworth Air Filters
Motul Inugel Coolant
Subaru Impreza Performance Optimisation Inspections
In addition to the regular servicing schedule, periodically carrying out a health check inspection offers additional insight to your car’s health, giving us a deeper view of the condition of the engine and other operating systems on the car.
One of the huge benefits of this inspection is that all sensor parameters can be monitored to ensure they are operating within their specified ranges. This allows us to detect the early warning signs of an impending failure of a component or reveal an area of the car that isn’t functioning efficiently.
